Emergency rule to ban bath salts and synthetic marijuana passed in Georgia

The emergency rule was needed after the makers of fake weed found a loop hole that allowed their product to be legally sold in Georgia.

The Georgia State Board of Pharmacy moved fast to give law enforcement the power to remove synthetic pot and bath salts from convenience store shelves.

"It's not going to be a criminal action, but what this will do is allow law enforcement to remove these new products from the shelves," said Rick Allen of the State Drugs and Narcotics Agency.
