New "X-Factor" judge Britney Spears must have been nervous before the big announcement on Tuesday because she bit her nails down until they bleed.
The pop singer has long chewed on her nails when feeling anxious and four years ago she even vowed to quit the habit.
Britne appeared in New York City for the big announcement of the new judge panel on the Fox show and had a bloody nail likely caused by the bad habit.
When her new boss Simon Cowell was asked if he was nervous about her appearing on live TV, he replied, "not at all".
